When I ran Rebuild Forum Stat Files, it kept saying something about invalid A line. But I fixed all that.

you can only add 25 more smilies  ... I guess this should probably be an easy hack to fix the limit huh? Maybe I can look into doing this and it would be my first hack ... I know it sounds kinda crazy, but I've got way more smilies than that on my board,... my people love 'em

Hahahaha! About the A line thing folks... that is the update process finding all those hidden corrupted threads that used to be living in your UBB. Usually you will want to delete them. Gotta get all those old messy files out.

Uh, I just added 32 smilies w/o hacking anything? What's the point in saying you can only have 25 in the instructions.. I know after a while, too many looks a little off, but like I said, my people enjoy having new gramelins to play with ... i know have I guess 43 including the stock ubb ones...

I'm curious how you guys are going to upgrade. Do you plan on doing a clean install in a new directory then importing the messages in?
Do you plan on upgrading your current setup and praying you won't have to go back. What about all the debris of the hacks you have installed. do you just go through and weed them out?
Do you start in a new directory and play with it for a while before opening it up to your users?
Just curious since this is the first time I've done a major upgrade like this.

the only hack i saw (at a quick glance) was the moderator drop down hack... anywho.. to do the full upgrade to 6.1 just upload your files in the upgrade package to the correct directories. Then just follow the readme included in the files. This will basically overwrite all your UBB files that make it run, but you will no importing messages or anything of that nature, that doesn't even get touched. You just need to rebuild forum stat files and such... option under maintenance......... real simple to upgrade... took me about 2 minutes...

I put them back in. I plan on doing more, but Im pretty tired (from hitting the f5 button ;)) to do any more tonight. Oh yeah, I didn't install the avatar hack over again, I just accidently added that part back in the public_topic_page.pl. I'll get rid of it tomorrow.

I'm just upgrading it as a test board then when I have it hacked I'll transfer the files onto the main forum so they can still use the other forum with hacks too.
