Does anyone remember this game? It was made for the NES back in 1989, and was first released as, essentially, the "toy in the cereal box" as a free gift for those who subscribed to Nintendo Power.

This is seriously the best game ever made! And I'm not talking about all the sequels, either. I mean the original Dragon Warrior 1 game. And the Gameboy ports of "Dragon Warrior I & II" don't count, cuz they don't hold a candle to the original. (I will admit that the forthcoming DW7 for PSX does look pretty cool...)

OK, so I just wanted to rant a little cuz I've got back into playing this game again the other day. I'm now a lvl 10 character and whippin' serious Wolflord & Warlock butt!

I remember that game It came with an issue of nintendo power I used to have a huge subscription to it. I had it for like 3 or 4 years.

I would have loved to have gotten Dragon Warrior 3 or 4 but they are about $40-50 each and I won't pay that much for a NES game.. Although I would like to get a top-loading NES (the 2nd NES)
