I am having some problems with my computer. Whenever I put in a CD/DVD into my CD Drive, I get a blue screen error saying "A Fatal error has occured at OE.....". What is the problem, and how should I go about fixing it? I have asked at a few boards but they seem to give me mixed answers. Thanks in advance.

the best way to deal with windows problem is : - Format
- re-install windows
Usually this will get windows to work properly for a while (until the next format  )
Do you believe in love at first sight,
or should I walk by again?

Lord......LORD!!!!!!! First try this!!!! Right click My Computer Select Properties Go to Device Manager tab Select the CD/DVD drive Right click on it Select properties On the Settings tab UNCHECK the AUTO INSERT NOTIFICATIONReboot Try again! Takesw a little less time than reformatting...but don't rule that out!! LOL

Chuck-Done that before when I do it starts working again but after a few times using the CD Drive it stuffs up again. MasterMind-If Vipermad's method doesn't work I'll try getting lunix. Vipermad-Thanks for your help, I'll try your method later. [ 11-13-2001: Message edited by: Lord Dexter ]
