It would seem like a trivial thing to worry about, but when you use it all day long, the mouse you have becomes very important. I say this because I recently upgraded to a much more comfortable model -- the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer. What a surprise, my hand no longer hurts at the end of the day! What kind of mouse do you use? Try to include a picture if possible. Here's mine: http://microsoft.com/hardware/mouse/ie_info.asp [ 01-03-2002 01:29 AM: Message edited by: Matt Jacob ]

I use this crappy Compaq mouse I got with the comp. It's got that scroller which is the most important thing to me.

I use four different mice.
A simple MS mouse w/ Intellieye, an MS Explorer, a Logitech mouseman, and an IBM one.'
All four are scrolly, three are LED-powered. The Logitech and IBM mice have the curved shape to fit the right hand, while the Explorer is the Explorer and the simple mouse is the post-dove-bar model.

I got a relatively simple logitech mouse, with wheel and all... I love the feel of it, and have bought one for my parents' computer and my dad's laptop as a present to them (and to myself, when I need to use their computer)
Just another boring 17-year-old and yes, I like smilies/graemlins

IntelliMouse here. When I have to use mice without the little wheel in the middle, I feel so naked.

I have a wide assortment depending on the machine...
Laptop uses M$ Explorer Trackball
Gamer uses Boomslang and Logitech iFeel
And "most" others use the Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse.
When I'm in the cage doing servers at Exodus I have a Logitech Mouseman Marble trackball on my laptop...

I must say the same thing about the keyboard. A month ago I changed both my keyboard and my mouse to a Microsoft Natural Keyboard and Microsoft Intelli Mouse Optical. Now I work much more comfortably, and I wonder why nobody cares about this two accesories.

On *my* computer, I have a Logitech optical mouse - I think it's one of the first ones they made. Just a standard shaped optical mouse with a scrollie wheel. The bottom is translucent smoke colored, and the top is a metallic-ish indigo color. On my aunt's computer - the one I'm using right now for lack of my own - she has a Microsoft cordless mouse. And i don't like it! The shape is odd, it's far too heavy, and it doesn't even work half the time. On my computer at work, it's just a regular old Microsoft wheel mouse. And when I become a vampire at night, I find that a trusty standard-issue lab rat works good to cure my bloodlust. But I guess that's not really a mouse, is it? ![[Linked Image]](http://www.sykospark.net/goth/rats/vampirerat_sm.gif) ---Jamin

Either-handed (no curve) Logitech optical wheel mouse on the Mac...first one they made, same as Jamin's, I think, with the indigo.
Right-handed non-optical wheel mouse on the PC.
Everyone is right who's said that once you've used wheel constantly, you won't go back. I once used a computer that didn't have a wheel. It just felt so...wrong!
