I renamed all my members starting with 740 since the forum I am merging with has 739 members.

Once I sucessfully did that I renamed all the threads in my biggest forum starting with 435 and uploaded them into another forum on his server. The problem I ran into is each post shows that it was posted by someone else. Say my member (#50) was renamed to #790 it will show the member #50 on the other forum posted the topic.

Is there any way to solve this?

Yeah that would take me ages to do.
But I don't really know a quick way out of it.

Arrghh,

Does anybody know what would need to be changed in the threads, all I see is public names and no member # to be changed. Maybe I can get the wife to do it.

Does it have any numbers at all? The "Member" in front of it might not appear in the topic files.

1) Make a new forum at the new UBB
2) Download all the ######.cgi files from the old forum. Use ASCII mode.
3) Upload the ######.cgi files to the new forum directory. Use ASCII mode. Reset permissions on the files - 666 or 777.
4) Rebuild forum stats for that forum.

Wash, rinse, repeat.
