My UBB 6.05 is sucking up 1.5-2 gigs a day of bandwidth. I'm looking for a new hosting company and I want to get it under 25 gigs a month. I've removed icons, avatars, revolving banners and loads of other graphics.
Is there any other way to limit bandwidth? Does the php version use less bandwidth?

the php version will decrease bandwidth by may 20% or so.. there's a cgi_buffer modification in the 6.0x forums you can use to drop it ~40%+ tho you have to have certain perl modules installed on the server. it increases cpu utilization in the process as well...

I can tell you that changing to a 6.x version and using the CGI buffer will indeed help. It saves me over 1G of bandwidth every month.

We had the CGI Buffer on S:C. It made the forum really fast and at the same time save bandwith.
