I'm working on building a simple tutorials/blog/whatever site, but I thought I'd stop and get some comments before I go any farther.

Please check out this page and let me know what you thought: was it easy to use? was the text easy to read? was the design aesthetically pleasing? were there any rendering errors? did the links appear to be "clickable" immediately? Please also add any other thoughts that might be helpful or important and don't be shy to give negative critique.

Also, this is only the design for the homepage, as secondary pages will have a different navigation layout.

• Add search box to right of logo on homepage

I should also add that the test server, which is my computer, is not on all the time. If you try to access the page and get the offline message, please try again during the day. Also, I have tested the design in Nav4, and I am satisfied with the display. It doesn't look exactly like it should, but the content is accessible, so it's fine by me.

I like the colors, they are very unique and not often seen, and go together well. Very easy navigation. I had a little trouble understanding it, but only because it was spanish. It is very clean and looks great. Displays fine in my IE and Nav6. The only thing (which may be my monitor) was the visited link color in your navigation seemed pretty close to the background color. But it is readable, and becomes even more readable once the cursor is over the cell.

I'm digging that, I love the colors. The navigation is very noticeable and eas, the design was simple and easy on the eyes. Very nice.

Thanks for your comments. Are there any things that you'd like to see done better or made easier? Is there enough contrast on the text with your current monitor settings?

Very soft on the eyes. I like. It's missing one thing though.

No more comments? If there's no more comments or anything for me to work on, I guess I'll prepare the site's content and get ready to go live soon.

Matt - I think the colors are great. Soothing and easy to read. I like the mouseover effect in the tables, too. It's simple yet effective. Cool..

anyhow.. It's nice and soft on my eyes. I can read it top to bottom without squinting. I like.

Great, thanks for the input. It looks like I am gonna run with this layout/colors for sure. Now, all I need to do is make the content, buy a domain name, and pick out a hosting package.

Search has been "implemented," but only as a mockup text box (it doesn't do anything or go anywhere -- yet).

I got to fooling around with some new colors, so now I have something else for you to muddle over. Check out this page and tell me what you think of the colors I used. This time, the page will be available 24/7, because I've stored it on a real server.
