i dont like the fact that polls are in a whole seperate sorta window.
as they appear now, all you see is the first person's post, asking you to take a poll. you dont know what the poll is about, or what the options are.
then, there's the confusion with replies -- when you answer the poll, your answers are not displayed in the thread, but rather in their own seperate entity.
someone could reply to the thread (like that damn drkknght fellow) without voting on the poll -- others could vote on the poll, without replying to the thread.
... annoying, and, i could imagine, purdy confusing for those not exactly computer (or ubb) literate.
granted, i dunno a thing about coding, so its possible this isn't even feasible, but it'd be easier if the first post actually stated the question and the various answers, within the thread (no popups).
it should also display the current results in the first thread.
when you click on "reply" you get the standard reply space area, with this box that im typing in now. but, right above that, and rigth below the message icon area, you should have the voting options to the question(s), with little radio dials next to each (so you can pick'em)
hitting "reply" would do a few things at once:
for starters, it would update the initial post with the current results.
secondly, it would reply to the thread, as normal, displaying your feedback on teh poll (which is optional). the first line of the post (with a blank space after it, automatically added), should state, in bold, your selection, like this:
***************
yesi do enjoy computers
***************
... and thats the way it is!
