How do you take yours? Feel free to expand upon your answer to include various coffee based drinks. If you are a Tea drinker, don't feel excluded Generally speaking I take my coffee with milk (on the light side) and no sugar. I tend to stay away from flavored coffees (although a hazelnut now and then is a nice change of pace). I don't care for the flavored creamers, they are too sweet for my taste. Now for you? One lump or two???

I don't like coffee... I also don't drink tea much... Real coke is the best (no milk, no extra sugar etc.)

I like my coffee with a spoonful of sugar and a spoonful of creamer/milk. Not that I'm exactly a coffee person, mind you. I don't go scouring the earth for it, nor do I regularly drink it in the morning. That's what Mountain Dew is for. But when I do drink coffee, that's how I take it. But I do like Frappucino. Like, the real kind, from a Starbucks store. Not the gas station bottled kind. That stuff's ok, but the real kind is the best thing since whatever they had before Frappucino. That, I _do_ scour the earth for. ---Jamin

I usually just get a tall (venti?) Starbucks house blend with a shot or two of espresso. Then some cream and sugar. Always cream and sugar, but real sugar, not Sweet 'N Low or Equal.

http://www.honeydewdonuts.com Extra large, regular. For you non New Englanders that means with cream ( heavy cream, not that wimpy half and half stuff ), and sugar ( heavy granulated ). Yummmmmmmmmmm

You're only 13, though! Wait until you need to stay up late in order to study for tests... then you'll change your mind.

I like to get up and kind of shake the house a bit by firing up my burr grinder (it grinds slow to not heat the beans, also making a lot of noise doing it). Then I pack a tight basket of espresso powder and push the coffee button. My La Pavoni Duet starts to purr. Then that great smell of espresso really comes out. I add some milk and some secret chocolate syrup to a mug, dump the espresso shot in and it's off to the PC to see what all the Euro and East Coasters have posted on the forums. Sexy, isn't she?

I have a Starbucks Burr Grinder, a Krups Thermal Carafe machine, an Estro pump-driven espresso machine (subsequently re-branded as the Starbucks Barista), various French Press pots, 40-cup and 24-cup urns. All I really need is a stove top mocha pot!
For tea, I prefer a nice Bodum press pot which is perfect for brewing up some good german fruchttee.
Nav: I always laugh when my sister-in-law says she wants her coffee "Boston style" as if anyone outside of NE would know what that means.

Oh so you wanna talk hardware, eh? Well! I have an original Honey Dew coffeee mug that I bought when I started trucking. It has well over 1 million trouble free coffees miles with only a few splashes and only 1 major spillage. It's old, most of the logo is gone, but I'll never get rid of it. That coffee mug is what held me together for well a million miles in 9 years. ( with time off for good behaviour )

It can make cappuccino, late or moca too.
You can also do a tall shot which is using an espresso shot(double) amount, but run the machine longer until it makes a full cup of coffee. It's called an Americano.
My mug of choice is a Marvin the Martian or one that has my kids on it.

Matt... you're right... but the way I make them, it tastes a bit better. Allowing the water to go through the shot of espresso longer makes it stronger and more yummy. Oh.. thanks for reminding me to order one of those mugs... I'm diong it right now.

Frappachino type drinks are a good start for those looking to start the habit.
Other excellent ways to get started, include: Coffee flavored ice creams. You can either start with chocolate mocha types or with lighter flavors such as Kahlua or White Russian, until you acquire a taste.
When you decide to mainline and go for the real thing, start with lots of milk (or cream) and sugar. That helps mask the bitterness at first. After time you will acquire a taste for it, and will probably cut back on the other things you add to your coffee.
Espresso is for hardcore coffee drinkers. Not for those with a weak stomache. Besides cappucino, you may want to start with a Latte, or Cafe Ole, which has considerably more steamed milk.
In no time at all, we'll have you chewing whole beans!

The you should try the office coffee.
First we start with 2 packs of coffee instead of the usual 1 pack.
After brewing, various people pour themselves a cup, without making a new pot. This usually results in 20% of the volume of coffee siting on the burner.
Sitting and bubbling and perculating.
Jump forward a couple of hours. Someone has actually made a fresh pot, but used a different pot...as if there is ever decaf in the orange decaf pot. In anycase, they moved the other brew over to a different burner, where it continues to sitting and bubble and perculate.
Air is the enemy of good coffee, but our coffee after ~3 hours has reached a denisty that is no longer affected by oxidation. It has taken on an oily gelatenous form, and has boiled down to less than 1/3 of its earlier volume.
That! is the power pack, concentrated semi-liquid caffeine super-natant, which rivals any double shot of espresso that I've ever tasted. Just a mere whiff is enough to get your pulse racing.

I'm not awake until I have had a couple cups of Pilon Cuban Espresso. I don't drink any more of it after 11AM or I'll never fall asleep that night.
Every evening I will have a couple cups of Yin Hao jasmine tea from China or my own homemade blend of Assam green tea with cinnamon, almonds and ginger.
