Just a note: the download speed at MM must be capped, because I'm only getting 80K/sec when my average is around 400K/sec.

Its the preview edition. They arent shipping yet.  But even more important. Fireworks MX is here! I AM LOVING IT!  Oh, when I was getting it last night I was getting it at 130kb/sec. Which is my usual, I think their servers are just packed with people downloading it.

That's a bonus, I am definetly upgrading to Fireworks MX, I hope the offer a combo upgrade like they did with version 4. It looks like they have really made it easier to access things version, and I love the CSS generator.

The best part is that it looks like the program isn't gimped in any way beside the expiration date. The date that it's set to "auto-destruct" on is 6/7/02, which gives me about five weeks to test it out. Cool.

They usually do, I believe you have to have a valid student id card - there are some online stores that sell at the reduced student cost, tho I don't remember right now. mebbe www.varsitybooks.com or something like that
