Hoping someone can help me here. I just reformatted my hard drive from win 98 se to win 2000 pro. After setup everything worked fine for the most part, but after i installed ie 6, the internet stopped working.
Right now i'm running in safe mode with networking and the internet works fine.
I'm running on a linksys LAN networking card. I also downloaded all the updates from windowsupdates.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Definitly wierd, i put in a 128MB stick of memory over my 64 and everything works like a charm. Very Odd....

Glad to hear everything is working are you running the latest Service Packs?
Also if you have Win XP I would recomment that I love it and it's stability.

if the server pack 3 is the latest, then yep.
I don't think XP would be good over a LAN?

Ehhe... I just wanted to comment that, when I first read the thread title, I thought it said "Win 2000 Probe", then I was all let-down when it only said "Prob"... But thanks to Mark's sig, I'm not entirely disappointed! ---Jamin
