In some sigs I see really small fonts with a black border around them perfectly is that or a font or somehting they did when making the graphic. Please point me in either direction on where to find or how to do it THANKS!

There is porbably an easier or quicker way of doing this, but, this is what I have always done...


#Using Photoshop 6...

1: Make your image background etc etc, add your text.

2: Do not flatten the image yet, instead, CTRL + Left click on your text layer.

3: Flatten the image, making sure your text is still selected.

5: Select Edit > Stroke from the Photoshop menu at the top of the Photoshop interface.

6: In the pop-up box that appears make sure that the 'Location' is 'Outside' and select the width and color you want. For text < 14 pt, a 1 px width is all you should need.

Then click okay, and volia!

Hope this helps, if you got any problems jyst ask, I don't know if I have explained it very well smile

i should say, rather, to turn anti-aliasing off. it makes text look smooth, but isn't good for pixel fonts.

What version of photoshop are you using?> if its 6, select the text, and at the text formatting bar at the top there is a drop down box for anti aliasing, select 'none'.

Yea I use 6 .. What exactly does it mean anti aliasing..
