I noticed on your forums a thread regarding Windows 95 on floppy. Someone had posted that it was 42 discs. I remembered having bought a copy way back when, for my old 486 laptop. It had no floppy and no modem. So, I dug out my copy and took a look. 13 floppies is all it was. I don't have the original box or manual, but I've kept the same floppies in the same storage bin for all these years.
I seem to recall there was no network setup in these floppes at all, and no IE 3 either. Which was fine, I had no networking capabilities on that laptop. I had to download a browser, via another computer, to floppy, and then install the browser to work on my web pages while on the road, then save them to floppy and upload them using my home P.C.
Picture perfect penmanship here.

Navaho, Win95b? If so I have the same set, serial sticket on the back of disk2 ... Much fun but yeh it's only like 12 disks, amusing thing is when you had a cd-rom on the 486 and install everything but windows via the cdrom lol...

Nope, it's not b. I bought b on CDROM for my PC, which at the time was a P150+ (can't remember the name of the chip company now defunct) with a whopping 32 megs of RAM. My friends thought I was nuts spending the money on 32 megs of RAM and a P150+. Oddly enough I kept those darn floppies all these years but I do not have my original Windows 95b CD. I have a copy of it that I burned for safekeeping (didn't know way back then you shouldn't) that I found in the same bin, along with the W98 that I bought, 3 original boxes with Win2kPro in them, and two boxes with XP Pro in them that I bought recently. I also have my copy of WinNT 4 Server that I bought. Looking through this bin is making me chuckle at all the stuff I've bought over the years, installed, used once or twice, most of which I'll never again use.
Calendar Creater, on 4 floppies. Whoohoo! Leisure Suit Larry? Anyone remember that? I bought it. Never installed it. Space Quest V? One floppy. MCAfee for Windows 95. Yup, on floppy. MCAfee Virus Scan version 4, woohoo! Anyone remember OilChange? I actually bought RedHat Linux 6.0, and 6.1? Here they are in the boxes. What was I thinking?

man you are nuts, that had to cost you a fortune! lol...
I have a win95b cd, and a set of disks :x... I have Office 95 on floppies! lol...
It was the best gettin that 486, when Nike decommissioned their pc's they sold them to a local pc shop, we picked up 3 :x... The were nice machines, 16 meg of ram, 250 meg hd, 486sx, i was in heaven...
It was scary to jump from the 486 SX to the 486 DX2, then up to a P133, it was mind boggling...

The version I used was from IBM. They used this build in their PCs. It had a ton of CDs.
