Well, not too many people get a good $200 to waste on just a case for a PC; but I saw we did quite nicely... Considering she saved up her spare cash for 3 months to get it, it didn't turn out half bad... We have 5 Blue LED case fan's, 5 Chrome Flame Grill Covers, 4 UV Cold Cathode 12" lights, Clear PC case (blue tint); I can give a full price list if anyone is interested. Definately saved a lot of time on modding as it's all stock ... Also, our rounded IDE cables have Glowite in them so they glow in the dark... Room looks quite interesting at night. The photos below have a missing case fan in the front; we have to move the hard drives back about a quarter of an inch to fit the fan in. We had to drill new holes for the case fan's as the holes where too close together (by about a quarter of an inch). Without futher adu: Both Cold Cathode Sets ON ![[Linked Image]](http://www.icemyst.com/pic/puter/blacklights.JPG) No Cold Cathode Sets ON ![[Linked Image]](http://www.icemyst.com/pic/puter/without.JPG) Only Top Cold Cathode ON: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.icemyst.com/pic/puter/sideb.JPG) Only Bottom Cold Cathode ON View from my laptop: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.icemyst.com/pic/puter/fullside.JPG) Any comments or sugguestions?

Also, I was asked online "what's inside?"
Currently: Motheboard: ASUS A7N8X-E, capable of supporting AMD Athlon XP 3200+ and 3GB Ram. Ram: 512MB CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1700+ NIC: 1GB & 10/100 Onboard sound as we don't have the cash right now for a SB Audigy. HD: 20GB + 120GB Video: 64MB ATI (not sure version) 8x DVD Player; 24X CDRW
Projected: CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3200+ RAM: 3Gig (1Gig sticks).
On my computer I'm planning on having onboard RAID with IDE ports so that I can have an extra set of drives.

Own, that system is a sweet mother, brother. 3.2ghz, and 3gigs ram:D wow the possibilities:) It's like those cheese ads. The Power of Moguai:D One suggestion, you may need to project more space, and a bigger video card coming 2005, some changes may make this wanting for you, as in 1 1/2 years or so the standards are looking to jump. Just from my sight, and a lot of opinions:) <3 to some owning hardware:D

AMD's marketing gimmick That's a different story and debate alltogether. I don't have too bad of a box for a factory machine I just got back in January at the office. IBM ThinkCentre - 8194-D2U Pentium 4 2.6Ghz Hyperthreading 1GB Ram (I added from the base config above 80GB HD I was trying to use Zend and WDSc on a Pentium 4 1.4Ghz before that, and it was punishing.

'eh even the pentium 4's dont' run at 3.2 ghz, even when you buy the 3.2ghz; benchmarks don't really show too much compaired.
For mine we're going with the Athlon XP 64.
I'm lookin for some older machines for linux here; just built a 500mhz system with a 10 gig drive for it, but need to dig up a few more (I'm a geek, it's my cause!

'eh 64 bit is overrated... You could get a slow AMD Athlon 64bit for the same price as a fairly fast AMD Athlon XP.

I donno, i was never an alienware fan (besides the laptops)... I prefer to build my desktops as I don't have to worry about the old "you have to use our stuff forever!" whine...

Am I the only one who didn't know Dell bought Alienware recently? http://news.com.com/Dell+to+acquire+Alienware/2100-1003_3-6052842.html Does that mean we can expect shiny bug-eyed notebooks from austin now?
I knew...not that I was going to buy an Alienware PC...although I'm in the market for a new iMac and 3 Mac Minis, and a new MacBook Pro if they come out with a compact (i.e. 12") model.
