I'll ask you guys... cuz I know you'll know... SO... looking at Post Nuke.. actually, it came with my new web host... anyway... It's a little overwelming. Anyone know where I could read some simple tutorials on how to get the best out of it? Thanks!

As soon as I have my Club's project taken care of, I'll be able to concentrate on those completely css templates.

I used to use PostNuke, but decided to go with Roll Your Own in order to better integrate with the UBB. At the time, it looked like it would be more of a challenge to hack PostNuke to include UBB Authentication support, than just to grow my own stuff. I haven't looked at it in almost 2 years. My home grown stuff is working great

Well, homegrown isn't a route some of us can take ... Such as myself I do it but I'm also one of the stff on the PostNuke project so it'd be a shame to just tell 'em I'm gone :x... It's an awesome project if you have the time to tinker

I tinkered with it. We actually ran PostNuke (use your imagination for the colors with the green and yellow) for quite some time, however it had more features than we needed, and the dual login penalty. Plus, writing my own was a good excuse to learn PHP.

Most of the "features" are simply modules which can be de-activated

/me likes the homegrown too http://www.alforadmin.com/ It's not that hard to write it in PHP if you use UBBNEWS PHP and ultimatebb.php as guides.

I was a PostNuke user for a long time. A few of my themes were pretty popular but then the community started to change and it got nasty sometimes. The people that were involved in the various forks spoke when they should have been discreet and of course other sides had to voice their opinions as well. I think MagicX (Portalzine) has been one of the best at keeping his cool under pressure. Some of the others haven't been so *good*.
I think that there are other projects that have a better system, including theme engines. *shrugs* There are a lot of systems and a lot of opinions. *hint* e107 *hint*
Maybe even some Xoops influenced forks *wink*

Have you looked at the recent security issues with e107? it makes it a complete joke...
