Well I have been hearing about alot about the UBB contract terminated with CT from one of my friends that hosts with them. They sent out this nasty letter saying that all the UBBs had to be deleted and pretty much pointing the finger at Ted for ending the contract. So now people think it was Teds fault even though CT violeted their contract. I think CT is being unfair to there customers and the way they treat them even though it is there own fault! Now my friend is forced to close down his UBB and now he has decided to close down his site altogether. Well that is my (hot) comment for today. ------------------ President and Webmaster of UBB Hackers Hideout. ICQ: 33326211 AIM:SpazJCC Email: ubbmaster@ubbcodehacking.com

Ummm... No, no UBBs need to be deleted. They can stay, but NO support will be provided for them unless they purchase a license. This is OFFICIAL Infopop policy, I got word of it from Rosemary...
The real finger needs to be pointed at CT in this case - Ted has indicated that it was NEVER his intention for the UBB to be a part of EVERY CT package...

Before this discussion ends up in hearsay - would it be possible to post this 'nasy message'?
As Ted said - 'Communitech UBB owners' can keep & use the version they currently have with their account. Whenever someone would want to upgrade, a seperately bought license would be required. My guess is C'Tech wants to drop UBB's altogether because of server load issues.

I host with CT (and also resell, all of 1 client and never recieved an email regarding the UBB policy. I'm just happy exisitng clients don't have to delete the UBB's, even though I now have a license of my own. ------------------ Chris «Stallion » Lambert clambert@gamespy.com ModCentral / PlanetUnreal
