www.registerclub.com I use them when I go to explore projects since registration is only $10 a year. It's legit, I own around 8 domains through them and the updates are a lot quicker than it is with internic.
But if you just wanna go with a big name, then

webhosts, I suggest you research this a lot. I run my own webserver so I'm not to familiar with them all.
