There is NO good free hosting, with or without mysql.

I think most people have been using F2S who wanted mysql.

ehh forget it ji found like 10 good ones yesterday.. they worked fine..

I can name a few GOOD free hosts that are perfect for personal websites offer a lot of space and no adds, or unobtrusive adds, but none of these offer the scripting people come in here looking for. They are all paid for by the rudest, most annoying advertising in existence.

This one don't look so bad

Here are the bad things about that host that I can find:

1. They say the server is based in Romania, so for people not in or near Romania may see unusual delays in accessing their site. Plus, I have no idea what kind of Internet connectivity/backbone is in Romania and how stable it is.

2. In their FAQ they say you can't change your account password. Very un-security like. I recommend ALWAYS changing your account, UBB & FTP passwords at least every 6 months.

3. Their FAQ says each account is limited to 4MB of space. Not really much you can do with that. A basic UBB with no posts nor members is close to 3MB.

4. There is a required popup ad, though you can opt to have it display as a page banner on your pages instead.

But if you are okay with the above, then go for it.

look what www.coolfreehost.com is saying: "30+ megs of disk space (more then enough to make a lot of money with your adult site!)"

and when you close down the windows of your site, you get a porn banner.

Mysql is definitely the worst. It has no security built into it. Steer clear and go with Microsoft SQL 2000
