I need a webhost that has:

-At least 20MB of webspace (50MB would be nice)
-CGI-BIN
-PHP
-SSI
-Must be a very good server
-Free

That's all I need. Does anybody know a good one?

I don't mean to be rude, but quite honestly you get what you pay for. By nature, nothing free will ever be nearly as good as you can get if you pay for it, especially hosting. Because they're free, they get waaay too many users on way too few servers so instability is rampant. If you really want a good server, you're gonna have to pony up some cash.

http://www.f2s.com is a freebie that fits all the rest of that, I think. (I've never been there, so I'm not really sure, though.) It's what a lot of people use. Some people have great luck with it, and some people don't. So while it may end up being a good server, I don't guarantee it.

I dunno do they offer SSI tho, but you can upload your own scipts.

Catches, they are based in the UK, and if you need domain then you'll have to buy one.

Plus... they don't offer much in the way of support so unless your keyed up on how things work on a Apache / Linux server forget it.

I'm still waiting the them to get back to me regarding Absolute Paths...

f2s supports SSI in .shtml & .shtm

copy&paste this code into notepad (or a text editor);


save it as path.cgi and upload in ASCII. chmod 755 & run...

OR you could just log in to your account in the members area and click "website", and at the bottom u will see it.
