After some misunderstanding and skewed communication on our part here at UBBDev, I have another short announcement to make regarding forum policy. Effective tomorrow, the following rule changes will become active:
1. Any and all threads related to signature images will be closed. No exceptions will be made.
2. Any and all threads requesting website logos or website designs will be closed.
3. The requesting of forum logos will be allowed, but only after the following criteria has been met:
+ User must have reached a minimum of 10 (ten) posts.
+ User must provide a valid, working link to their forums.
Threads not meeting the above guidelines will be closed immediately.
4. Requests for changing of colors or altering UBB™ images will be allowed, provided that the same two items are met above.
These are the new rules, learn to live with them. If this thread turns into the other announcement thread, it'll be closed.

Some of us run private boards and come here to get help from others with graphics...im some cases if we do post our url..no one will be able to see it...so what are the people that run private boards supposed to do when they need graphical help?

You'll have to post the link anyway. I don't care if I can't get into it, but we need to make sure your board doesn't contain any illegal content and/or is pirated.

in extreme cases you can pm the moderator of the forums with the link... and they'll keep it private.

What if we post a forum that isn't UBB. Does this still count as a valid post for a forum logo, etc.?

well that is logical..:)
it would be up to those who have time to assist tho, I imagine UBB™ owners would come first, then others if they have time.. mainly cuz we are a ubb support site, not that we have anything against other scripts, but we do pride ourselves in being the best support site around.

you'd want graphics for a forum you haven't even installed? at the very least you can't give a valid link to it... hehe

I suppose that it'd be alright to ask for images for other forum software(s), but there'll be a few rules that need to be maintained in doing so. For instance, there will be no bumping of such threads, because UBB™ owners still come first around here. And you must still provide a working link, whether it be via a post or a PM. Guess that's about it, maybe I'll think of some more later.
