Just putting in a ad for myself my hosting company synergy-core will come online as of 7 pm est time tomorrow ^_^.


Free accounts-50megs-no video files of any kind the only media that can be hosted is Pics!,1 gig of bandwidth transfer a month
500megabytes of storage for $15/month,2 gigs of bandwidth transfer a month
2gigs of storage for $30/month,5 gigs of bandwidth transfer a month
5gigs of storage for $55/month,7gigs of bandwidth transfer a month
unlimited storage for $90/month,10 gigs of bandwidth transfer a month
Extra bandwidth is $25 (US) pre gig

i dont know, the bandwidth *seemed* a bit low to me but this is what the head admin of the company is telling me. if it is low ill get him to raise it,the server has a main oc-12 and alot of t3 helper lines and a sDSL back up.

it has the newest verson of php installed, mySQL ect. ect. you can run flat file cgi forum scripts if you have a site, i wont host just a forum. also if your doing a new isntall try to make it 6.1+ to help my server out, if your ganna port a 5-6.05 you can if you want. ive been working on the server all week form my 56k, and school t1 and its hella fast.

The site looks unusually dark for a hosting company, dontcha think?

thats just the splash, the main layout is a bit lighter, the hosting sub domain will most likely ahve a diff layout once were all up and can get to it. right now im re doin my ubb layout for it so ill be up all night working on it :]

Have you had any problems with them, ie. I hear that some hosts offer unlim space and bandwidth then sometime the user uses to much, but how can he/she use to much space when it is supposidly unlim . Anyways just wondering if you ran into any problems like that? Or no problems so far?

I hae ahost that offers that stuff to, pay 300 a year though came with a free domain, im also hosting 6 others, and 10 subs obth mixed between ubb and vB. haven't ran into a prob. yet, except when the sever reboots once every sunday. used up over 5 gigs of space right now. bandwitdth im not sure, also media too. so I guess mine is unlimited.


and you guys packages, are a bit pricey. 90 a month? thats insane you can get deticated hosting for that much.

I think $70-75 sound more reasonable, bandwidth is expensive nowadays oO...

Well all sounds good, but I think tomorrow I'll be posting up my new hosting services . So prepare to be amazed tomorrow, hopefully hehe.

So the Synergy-Core Hosting is hosted on Donhost?

I only heard baad things about Donhost o-o;;, but I dunno, they might be okay. I never really delt with them personaly, I just heard from the experiences of my friends that told me oh well .

And I thought a site + board takes more bandwidth/memory than just a board :rolleyes: I think you should change that rule, I know many boards without a site.

You have to use linux in order to use unix web host?

We changed. It was a crap host and it didn't allow some of the things we wanted on our site.
