-------------------------------------------------
Q: Is this service really free?
A: Yes. T35 Hosting is absolutely free.

Q: How much space will I get?
A: Each account gets 35mb of space. Added 10/21/01: All accounts created before 2002 get unlimited space.

Q: What happens if I either forgot my password or want to change it?
A: Go to http://cgi.t35.com:81/changepassword.php

Q: Is ftp access and a cgi-bin provided?
A: Yes. Ftp info is available by clicking "ftp info" at the bottom right of any page. You also get your ftp info in the confirmation mail. Cgi usage is free for all members. To use cgi create a "cgi" or "cgi-bin" folder in your account through ftp. Please don't put cgi into any other folder except "cgi" or "cgi-bin" or your account might get deleted.

Q: What is the absolute cgi path to my site?
A: /www/username/cgi/

Q: Where is the sendmail located?
A: /usr/sbin/sendmail

Q: How come i'm getting 500 internal server error when trying to get my cgi to work?
A: You need to upload your cgi in ASCII mode.

Q: Why am I getting the error "Method not allowed"???
A: Your script must have the extension: .cgi or .pl

Q: What are the restrictions?
A: Your site should not be just a cgi script. (like a message board, etc..). It has to be a website. If your account is found with all your files in the /cgi/ or /cgi-bin/ directory it will be auto deleted. Furthermore, your html pages (your site) is not allowed to be placed in side the /cgi/ or /cgi-bin/ directory. If the html file is there to protect your cgi bin from hacking, or has to be there because of the way the cgi script works, thats okay. Added 10/08/01: If cgi is using more than 95% of the bandwidth of your account, it makes it a "cgi script" and not a website, and will be removed.

Q: Where is perl located?
A: #!/usr/bin/perl

Q: How many files can I have in my account?
A: You are allowed to upload as many files as you need.

Q: What files are we allowed to upload?
A: All file types are now allowed, except *.exe and *.zip.

Q: Is there any file size limit?
A: There is a 150kb file size limit to prevent abuse.

Q: Why can't I upload php files?
A: We are in the process of implementing php support.

Q: Can you host my domain name?
A: Yes, for free! Info is available at the bottom right of any page.

Q: How can I upload files?
A: You can upload your files either through the file manager, to which you can log in from the main page. Or through ftp, for which info is available by clicking "ftp info" at the bottom right of any page.

Q: Can I place paid advertisements on my site?
A: Sure. You have full control over your site.

Q: What kind of ads are placed on my site?
A: A pop-up ad is placed on your pages. The pop-up auto minimizes, and won't pop-up when the visitors visit your other pages on the same site. So its not annoying to you or to the people that visit your site. You can optionally choose to have a banner ad placed in your header instead of the pop-up, by e-mailing us. (Only pop-up is available at this time, due to market conditions).

Q: Are there any bandwidth restrictions?
A: Your bandwidth usage is un metered, and no restrictions will be applied.

Q: Can I get Ad-Free hosting?
A: Yes, we offer paid hosting with the best rates on the net, starting at just a few bucks a month. You can get more info by clicking "Paid Hosting" at the bottom right of any page.

Q: What if I have a question not covered here?
A: You can message Customer Support, by posting a message in the Message Board, by pressing Forum/Tech Support link at the top of the page. You can also press "Live Customer Assistance" at the bottom of the page, to speak to a live person. Or you can e-mail us at [email protected].

--------------------------------------------------the only thing the have is a pop-under no banners no banner ads anywhere, not bad for a free host that gives u a cgi-bin.

FYI on t35.com....I know someone who tried to setup iB on there, and after 4 days, t35 dumped their account because their bandwidth was mainly used by the cgi..due to setup of the forums.

But if 95% or more of the bandwidth is used for CGI, they consider it a 'cgi script' and will dump your account. Trust me. It happened to this person. And they did it after 4 days.
