As so many of the large outfits ban the hot linking of pictures from their space. Does anybody know of free hosting companies that are happy with hot linking?

There won't be any that are "happy" with it... you might find some that don't know about it  But they won't be in business long

Dunno if it would work or not, but I've seen some hosting companies whose sole business is to provide image serving space for eBay auctions... I can't see why they wouldn't let you host pictures for sites other than eBay. Granted, it isn't free, but iirc it is pretty cheap. I can't think of any off the top of my head at the moment, but you may want to look into them to see if they're anything close to what you're looking for.

Paul will probably hate me for doing this, but one of our readers set up Montypics.com just for this purpose. Paul set it up as a free image host for our 4x4Wire.com UBB, it seems to be growing. If you use it, please make a donation. FYI, he does add a watermark to every image hosted.
