UBB.Developers Forums Community Development Design, Style and Graphics Book off - on

Hello every one, I've just install my UBB, and currently trying to change the UBB into the web style of my homepage. So I've changed:

on books like these:

I drew those myself (I'm not an artist, so that's why they look ugly, at least bookon.gif looks ok). Anyways, where can I find some decent looking icons! realistic because I found icons, but those are icons, what I need is realistic book icons!

I see them in my IE, in this very posting right now! And I checked in Netscape, I see them in this posting too! Strange...

I can see them as well. Tech-Ni-Kal just has a problem on his end.

Those look pretty good. The open book you made was real good maxim.. I finally figured out the AOL screw IE over so I cant look at anything really. AOL should die but eh what you gonna do ??

and I added the cover of the book on 'my' web site, and I've got this:

P.S. See the book that I've added cover to? Well how do I make a (white) background transparent?

I use Photoshop:
How I do it is to delete the unwanted background pixel by pixel with an eraser tool.
If you don't have a transparent background available. Convert the image RBG: Image> Mode> RBG. Then converti it back to Indexed Color: Image> Mode> Indexed Color. You'll have the option to allow for the transparent color.
