Well, I just downloaded and did a fresh install of the new beta...I went through all the install instructions...ran install.php...everything passed...then when I went to the make new user script...and to look at my board...well, go see for yourself

Did you upload your templates folder? And are they readable? Make sure you upload them in ascii

hmmm I just got the tar.gz file, expanded it and set all the permissions per the instructions...Then ran install.php with no errors *shrugs*

make sure you've set the permissions on the templates/default folder and the files within I believe they need to be 755 so you can edit them from the admin panel

So it doesn't say to set the files in the templates folder to 666...

Okay....now when I go to make a new user I keep getting "passwords do not match" no matter what I put in there

I don't think the proper version got put out to the members area. There are a few things in there that were fixed over the weekend but are still in the version in the members area. I would wait until later this evening to download again.
