spawn, the demo link never loads for me, it's justa blank after when I put my mouse over a link.

It does load, but for some reason the whole screen is blacked out except for a few pics. If you drag your mouse across the screen, everything is there.

I'm willing to say, i have absolutely NO clue what it is.

I worked great for me. I've upgraded from 5.46, to 5.46a, then to 5.47, and it worked without a problem. The only thing I did run across was, the button placment. I had to change it a little on mine.

But you need to use the bar (bluebar.gif) just put that in your non ubb directory and you have rename the house.gif to home.gif in the zip file

I am having multiple large problems:

1. I can't get it to work. The quote.gif has the blue bar in it, but nothing else.

2. Once I couldn't get it to work, I tried to revert back to my backup of it, and well - it wouldnt go back.

Either I would like to make it work, or uninstall it... cuz this stuck inbetween state sucks for my buttons... I checked the buttons, and they are normal (don't have the quote thing), so I don't know whats going on.
I am on 5.47, and on PWS...

Flare945 i had sometimes same problem for all images when i was running my ubb on my own server but it was a setting what i have to change for user downloads on the server it was Savant server btw.

I do not find any difference from 5.46 to 5.47 in the code. The only thing I can think of is they don't have the IP logged hack installed.
Do this hack first like I did. IP logged hack here and then do this hack.
I have the code to 5.46, 5.46a, 5.47, and 5.47a. and didn't find any difference between any version. The only thing I had to alter was the icon positions. Sorry, but this is all I found, and the only thing I can think of to be the reason why it ain't working for you.

You simply remove the ip link line by putting in the ip icon hack. Spawn you should include this in your instructions for those who dont have it.

This is a nice looking hack and great works great for some people but not for other.

I am using 5.47a

The prob i found is the bar will look great for people, but the icons r all messed up for others.

Then when i updated my ie i found that it was then messed up for me.

So is there a way to get it working for both IE 5's
If i use your code -=SpAwN=- it fine on the lastest ver of IE5, if i use Subzero code its fine for people who have a ver of IE thats not the lastest.

So is there a way to get it to pick up what ver of IE your running and make it use the right code?

Sorry but i use my self 5.5 and it works perfectly for me on my board and on Subzero's board.
And to test it out i need lots a time which i dont have right now [Linked Image]

Maybe if someone with good html and perl knowledge help us out here.
I am good at Html and graphics but perl is still a big puzzle for me...

I got the bar installed, but on some post, you see the bar normally, but other post where maybe the Mail icon is missing you see the bar but followed by a blue end.

I figured it out, I need the hack to add the search icon to the bar, so it'll stretch it just a bit to cover up the blue end (which is coming from the background)

2spawn, some days ago your UBB didn't appear on netscape4.7 - now it works, BUT when i try to read ANY thread on your board Netscape4.7 crashes completely

Ultimate.cgi as well as forumdisplay.cgi works... Tried it several times with cleaning my cache before.
Seems that something with your span/style and this dhtml-layer-positioning of your Bar messes up with Nscape...

At this time I won't install this hack due we have about 46% of users using Netscape 4.7 up to Netscape6.0 [Linked Image]

Yes you are right a week ago i had problems with tables but that was fixed, i just fixed in thr threads to but i need to fix another things in the code self for NS, you can see the threads now on my board with NS but its not 100% perfect

2 Subzero i just looked in your ubb with NS and you got same problem as gamerz [Linked Image]

the bar doesnt show up

On my board it works but the placement of the icons are not right.
I am not going to remove the hack cuz its still functioning normaly with NS.

I cant fix this problem on NS, maybe someday will NS work with this hack but not today....

The bar images are 900*400 pixels, change that to 900*75 and it shows up in Netschape to now. But there is still some placement problems

It works just fine in Internet Explorer maybe you need to use that instead of netscape, because netscape does not support some hacks.

Maybe you need to get some help from somebody spawn to make this hack netscape compatible

gamerzparadize.com the hack works good with Netscape 6 but its impossible to let work with 4.xx it shows everything but the icon placements are different

The meaning of this hack is to get a clean posts, if you put the icons at the bottom, you got emty spaces in the posts with signature.

You can still put the icon bar at the bottom but it doesnt work so it supose to be, and you need to change the images...

I hate to say it but there is a much easer way of doing this.... Creat a 1 x 1 table where it puts the icons, then make a background image for that table, put all the icons and the structure in there just like before, with the exeptions of a few obvious things. all done! no searching for spacing and what not...

I've never done it, but it seems like something that can easily be done, and much more cross browser friendly.

Exstatica, its possible but try it and see what you get (its impossible to get date at the exact place you want without style) you can also use my other bars its also much easyer like this one:

I got the problem fixed. Theres a problem with the triple m hack directions I posted it in UBB questions.
Is there anyway to make the bar longer so when you got all the Icons, it dont split into two parts.
I have AIM,ICQ,YID,IP,ONLINE,and the normal stuff sometimes it splits into two sections. I changed the link in the script to use the yahoo icon which make it longer yet.

Yes you can better make the hole longer to let work with your bar or you can remove AM/PM if you want and play around with the span styles to get the icons in the middle of the bar.

This is a great hack really cleaned up my UBB. I changed the Yahoo Icon to the one with grafic and picture now sometimes the bar brakes up by the quote. would extending the bar fix that?
