I agree with including a small portion of the text, but not the entire thread. I small tidbit to get the reader niterested and then a link. Sort of like this:
In reply to:
"So-and-so has forwarded a link to a thread on [sitenamehere]! The thread starts out with...
"... a short paragraph, say 200-255 characters of tyhe body of the message."
