Maybe...Then again lack of foresight of it's authors. In order to market any product effectively the first rule is to know your users. MS had the sense to come out with features people will gravitate towards...They set the standards.
Regardless of what is right and wrong if the people aren't buying it, the product will be left out in the cold.
