I thought of that but there are times when I need to announce something in a particular forum and if it is busy it will just drop down the list in time. I don't want to keep posting reminders to keep it at the top.
I am sure it would be a simple hack but I have no idea where to start!
I know I am a complete code duffer, but any given topic is given a date and the UBB sorts the list by that date. If a 'sticky' topic had a date set, say a year in advance, the UBB would automatically always post it at the top.
The date and 'sticky' topic could be set via a new simple control panel faclity.
But then again. . . now I know it is 'sticky threads' I needed to search I see Charles has said he wants to wait for version 6.1 before it can be done. . .
Bugger, bugger, bugger. . .
Quasic. . . thanks for the info. . I know you have LOADS of time on your hands  any chance?
