Ok I Installed this beta for my 6.3.0 ubb.
Status: Perfect... a little color changing but it worked..

But How can I make it display like under there name at the forum summary like
"PM's - You have ( o or # ) Messages in your inbox or what ever. Could someone help me out.

you could upgrade to 6.5, or you could try this hack...

Well my hack works perfect and I love it however I just am not sure how to make it say the things I need under their name at the forum summary page.

So what is that hack like a pm noticacation hack or somthing?

Yup...The PM Inbox notifies the user of new PMs + lists the #. In UBB 6.5 it goes one step further by blinking whenever a user receives a new PM. smile

Does this hack work under 6.5.0? Cause I couldn't find everything some lines in the ultimatebb.cgi file.

Hi Prime,
You dont have to run 6.5 to have a blinking envelope upon receiving new PM.

I run 6.3 and have it, it is just a matter of adding one line of code in public_common.pl
under "$show_pms_popup = qq~" routine.
If I did it, everybody else could! smile


And WaveMasterDrow, there is a 6.3 version that works just fine, you dont have to upgrade just for that. Sorry if I stepped on people's toes here, just an opinion.

Felix, does your code make this blink..? If so, let me know what is necessary to do this.

all you do is use an animated gif.

He is using 6.3.xx therefore he needs a little more than that;)

yes, my envelove blinks, but you have to add it to the script.
here this is what I did:


[code][/code]where newpm.gif can be anything, in my case is the animated .gif [Linked Image] I "borrowed" wink from UBBDEV
