Yup...The PM Inbox notifies the user of new PMs + lists the #. In UBB 6.5 it goes one step further by blinking whenever a user receives a new PM.

Hi Prime, You dont have to run 6.5 to have a blinking envelope upon receiving new PM. I run 6.3 and have it, it is just a matter of adding one line of code in public_common.pl under "$show_pms_popup = qq~" routine. If I did it, everybody else could! And WaveMasterDrow, there is a 6.3 version that works just fine, you dont have to upgrade just for that. Sorry if I stepped on people's toes here, just an opinion.

all you do is use an animated gif. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.gamingring.com/ubb/newpm.gif) that image comes with 6.5 (I hope it's ok to post that)

Weird Al He is using 6.3.xx therefore he needs a little more than that;) tgreene, yes, my envelove blinks, but you have to add it to the script. here this is what I did:

where newpm.gif can be anything, in my case is the animated .gif ![[Linked Image]](http://www.gamingring.com/ubb/newpm.gif) I "borrowed" from UBBDEV
