In 5.1.6, and maybe other versions as well, you can edit your profile and set your email address to nothing, and it will save. This is fine for the fake email but not the main one (seen by admins only).

Also, a feature request...when an admin is viewing a user's profile, can we also see the original email they registered with?

I think that when you run "Edit users" from the ADMIN panel, you can select to see all users.
On the list which is shown there, you see both the eMail under which a user suscribed and the currently used main email.

So the info you are requesting is not visible in SHOWPROFILE.PHP but at least here already.

When you click on a user to show their profile, it shows only their "fake" email address. I would like it to show the real address to admins and maybe mods. If you click to edit the user, then you can see their real email address. However, this field is blank for many users because it seems they can edit out their address. That's what I consider a bug, unless it's just meant to do that.

It's meant to allow them to change their email to nothing. Some users might do this if they don't want any email from the site at all. But, we do store the email address that they originally registered from. Maybe the admin should see this in when looking at the profile?

Already have that added in actually. Have it so Admins only (and most people would probably want Mods to see this too) can see all three emails (the one they originally used, the current one, and the "fake" one), their original IP address, and a few other tidbits.
