Php v 5.1.6 on Unix freeBSD

I just tried to send an email to all users... a test to three email addresses. 7,000 emails later I finally got an autoresponder shut down on my server. Is there anything that could trigger and endless loop with an autoresponder?

No emails were directed to the autoresponder address; however, the emailaddy was the same as the autoresponder.

Perplexed.

Not real sure what would cause that. Are the email address yours? It's possible that if the forum email gets sent by an email address with an autoresponder attached to it, and it sends to an address with an autoresponder attached to it then it would cause a loop between those 2 email addresses. That's the only circumstance that I can think of that would cause that.
