I had a problem with the time offset in 5.2 and sticky posts.I modified the time and date function and was able to fix it. I upgraded to 5.4.4 and the same problem arises when a forum has a sticky thread. If I change the offset to a positive number the error goes away. With offset at 0 or negative number I get the error below. To see the problem check this board. http://www.visualbasicforum.com/bbs/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=visbasYou'll see a black table just under the active threads and search box. If you highlight the box you'll see this error Warning: unexpected error in date() in main.inc.php on line 639 I've messed with for a couple hours and I can't track this bugger down. In 5.2 I was able to fix it but if I use the code I added to 5.2 the time and date don't function at all. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

I made a change to fix the error, but when you change the time to use an offset you still get the error. To see what I mean, create an account and login, set the time offset to a negative number and then enter the general questions forum. You'll see the error.

Which forum is giving the error? I registered and changed my offset but don't see a General questions forum. Tried the visual basic help forum and didn't get any errors there.

I'm not real sure why it would error out. It only seems to do it when you have a negative offset. How did you change it before to fix it?

Thats the thing I don't remember how I fixed it. When I uploaded the new files I overwrote them all and forgot to download the old files just in case the upgrade went bad. When I first uploaded the date function gave the error no matter what the offset was. I added in an elseif and it got rid of the error except for negative offset. I know I had the problem with it before and fixed it. All I have to do is find the fix again. The error is supposed to be at line 639 but I actually changed the code up about line 600. When I track it down I'll post the fix. Thanks for taking a look at it.
