when editing a users profile as an admin, linebreaks are ignored later.
at least this happened with "bio", when displayed in a members profile.

the very same data gets displayed properly if I log in as that user, go to the preferences, open the particular page, scroll down and just hit ok - breaks are back again!

Thanks for the info. It must be something with the conversions in the admin area.

I've just installed UBBThreads 5.4.6 php and I've noticed that all Linebreaks are ignored in all the posts. They look OK in preview, but later they are gone. See: http://www.atlantasingleschoir.com/messageboard/ubbthreads.php Also, when I go in and edit a post as Admin (the posts were done with Markup) I see html. Then after I've edited, when I click "Change Post" the Markup or HTML Just appears as text. ??? Your help please?

I don't know if you see it here. But my post has no line breaks either? I'm typing this post with a blank line between each line...does everyone else see it, or are they gone???? I'm using a Mac w/ IE 5.0

The posts by other users have line breaks. Mine do not. Maybe it's a Mac issue?

I experience the same problem with every 5th post or something, linebreaks gone, after editing I got pure html.
it's not a mac issue.

additionally, error messages are displayed above the board.
something with "netaddress failed", I will post it as soon as I see it again...

Hi Flint ... I think it is a MAC issue ... one of our Admins who is testing the new board posted this issue in our Bugs forum and untill now only Mac Users are affected ...

Dunno what causes it though ...

This error message means that php was not able to create an http connection to grab the file. 5.5 will always try path first and then fall back to url for opening files.
