I searched but didn't find this mentioned before..
As the title implies, it would be great for members to be able to search the user list instead of having to navigate endless pages (which is what happens with 13,000+ members).
I figured this would be in V6 but sadly it isn't.

This is one feature that is being requested every once in a while. Dont worry if you dont see it yet, I am guessing it will be available in a near version after version 6 is finished. At this time features are not being added, so development can concentrate on templates. But once its finished, it will be features time! []/forum/images/icons/grin.gif[/] Personally, this is one of my most wanted features. I would add a very extended profile search, such as the one you can see suggested here.

Here, play with my search... it's fairly simple, but it gets the job done. You can't search multiple fields, and results aren't in multiple pages, but otherwise our users like it... User Profile Search And yes, it's in PERL... I'm soon going to have a PHP install running, and hopefully get all the hacks ported over.

Something that would also be very use ful: You should be able to search for "words to search for"
and then a separate bit for "username".
This would make finding certain topics from one user much easier.

We hacked a search with an optional username. Only have to make it v6 compatible.
