I have UBB, not UBBThreads, but I think it shows it BEFORE checking for permissions - so they can't do it, but it just shows like they can.

Yes, if they click on a "new post" link, the cookie for WOL picks it up as doing it, even tho the user got a screen saying they need to log in or register first. Same for "checking their "My Home" page - they don't have one, but clicked on the link - triggering the WOL message.
