This is not a bug in the original software but in my own translation. I didn't know where else to put it.

I have spend a lot of time to translate threads 6.0 to Dutch and something went wrong in one (or 2) of my language files.
When I edit a post or try to delete a PM I get a white screen error.
I checked my language files but can't find the problem.
It MUST be the language files though since everything works fine when I use the german files.

Can someone please help?

Thanks,

Ron

This usually happens when the name of the submit button is not the same as the same text in the corresponding language file for the action.

In your case, it's probably the field $ubbt_lang['DELETE_MESS'] in mess_handler.php and viewmessage.php that aren't the same.

It would definately be better if this value was only taken from one language file so that this doesn't happen when new translations are made, or if someone just wants to change the text on a button.

Thanks! You really did help me out a lot there!
Just a shame that nobody at Infopop is responding to messages on their support board:-((
The problem with deleting the private messages is solved.
After some searching I found out that the edit message bug was caused by the same problem with: PEDIT_CHANGE
Is there any more of these I should take a look at?

Regards,

Ron.

Yeah, I've had the same problem a couple of times as well.

The two that I can remember is the send password button that has to be the same on both login.pl and logout.pl, but I'm not sure if it applies to v6.
One place I had the same problem is for the "Make post sticky" on the edit page. But basicly all submit buttons could have the same problem.
