That might be a problem in this domovethread query?
$query = "
UPDATE w3t_Boards
SET Bo_Last = $lastpost
WHERE Bo_Keyword = '$Keyword_q'
AND Bo_Last < $lastpost
";
$dbh -> do_query($query);

Maybe '$lastpost' instead of $lastpost ?

If just the ' are missing, and needed (the script WORKS with those), there are a few more queries with that problem around in Treads, and this could explain why sometimes the NEW flags don't work, example:
SET Bo_Total = Bo_Total - $moved,


Just guessing...

Hmm, actually it just looks like the target post # isn't being passed correctly. Will need to take a look at that.
