Didnt know where to post this, so I´ll do it here as a request ;)
Though every site might have different rules, and such... most of us will also have some common rules and experiences. Does anyone have a Moderator manual they give to their mods? I think it would be interesting.
Maybe with the experience and wisdom of others we could come up with a basic good manual (I am not speaking of just technical, mainly "how to avoid/treat/mediate/moderate in conflicts" and such...
Examples:
- What to do with offtopic conversations?
- What to do with people with bad behavior?
- What to do if someone uses the profile pic of another user?
- What to do if someone posts a huge pic that breaks the design?
- What to do if someone constanly provokes someone?
- What to do if.................. (hundreds of these)
There are hundreds of different things that could happen. And I find a need to write a manual down so that moderators are more confident in what they do. That is, that their actions be backed up by a guide, not just their own personal judgement.
Just wondering if others find the same need, or have one I could take as a reference.
