Once we get 6.0 out we'll start with a much better bug tracking/reporting method for 6.1 so everyone can see what's been fixed already. For now, here is the fixlist for BR5:
German FAQ updated. Fixed a bug when printing users registration date when time format was set to long. French language files updated. Swedish language files updated. Fixed a small template bug with editbasic.tmpl Fixed a few xhtml compliancy bugs. Added a check to see if a user is banned before sending subscriptions to them. Fixed an ICQ bug with the online display. Fixed a bug in subscriptions.php Fixed a bug with private message status and language files. Fixed a PM bug not returning the user to the proper page when previewing the message. Renamed a couple of the editpost_manage templates because they were too long for some editors. Renamed the DONOTDELETE user that is added to **DONOTDELETE** in the off chance that someone already had a DONOTDELETE user. Fixed a bug in showthreaded that was giving the wrong subject/time when viewing some posts. Fixed a bug with mods not being able to see user profiles in certain situations. Added a missing " to the ubbt_badlogin.tmpl template.

Rick, It would be nice if you could keep a change log of the language files as well. Comparing all files is a lot of work:-))

Rick, just an idea, how about naming the **DONOTDELETE** user as Anonymous that way the name no longer has to be kept in the "badnames" filter list. Not sure if this would mean extra work elsewhere or not though.

Would require him to remove the code that prevents anon users from posting with registered names (because Anon would become a registered name).

I didn't think it would matter where the "Anonymous" name was stored. It still prevents the poster from using it. If it is stored in the filter file they would get the "user exists" error or if it is stored in the user database for UID 0 they would get the error "username taken". In any case it would prevent them from using the name and the plus side I think would be that this name has been in the badnames filter list for a long time and this would help lessen the problem of that name being taken by a user already. Then again, maybe not. LoL

I'm not certain, but the routine that checks to see if the chosen name in an anon post might only check the U_Users table. Might. Would have to do some investigation to confirm..
