New users have been entered, and the system notifies them that they will receive a password shortly. But it never arrives. The option to select their own password initially is turned off.

I found that if you don't give IUSR_MachineName read permissions to the php.ini file it will not send the email out and it will not give an error.
Once I added these permissions to the php.ini file it worked great.

This sounds similar to another issue I brought up in this forum, with a 17152 mail error code being pushed to the browser. Rob
