A friend of mine has just installed (upgraded to) the ubbthreads 6.02 , everthing works fine, except I can not access the forum through a rewebber like for example one at www.siegesoft.com. I can log in but cannot acess the individual forums like "How Do I... ","ThreadsDev Announcements " I get the access denied.

I also tried some other sites with ubbthreads forums (probably not 6.02) and I can log in and use them as usual throuh a rewebber.

Any suggestion on how to configure the 6.02 to allow the use of a rewebber would be highly appreciated.

Have him try disabling the referrer check in the config.inc.php file. (I wouldn't run our site with it off, but that's just me. )

Hi

I think the $config['disablerefer'] is only for adding post, not accessing the forum.

So this might be the cookies or rights issue.
Try deleting the cookies in your drive.

good luck

Unfortunately deleting the cookies has no effect.
It will not allow me to access the forums. I can log in , but can not read the forums.

There must be an option somewhere in the threads confuguration.

1) Is he using sessions or cookies?

2) Which siegesoft privacy options are you using?

Check your siegesoft settings. I was able to log in and post using siegesoft, without changing anything in Threads.

The forum uses cookies.
I have the following settins at siegesoft:
block cookies - no
cookie duration - However the servers set them
block scripts - no
Send your Referrer information to servers? - yes
user agent string - use your real user agent string

I tried various combinations to no avail.
It is interesting that I can log in and check my sent messages, but I cannot read my received messages and access the forums. I suppose there is something that must be done to the ubbthreads configuration.
