Anyone know how to turn off the feature that sends a PM to all mods when a mod is added or removed? I want to just remove this altogether as I find it rather annoying.

Boy that would be a good idea. I hate those automatic PMs.

Just change this line (at line 69) of admin/dograntmod.php:

   $To      = "A_M_GROUP";

---

To this:

code:

   $To      = "ADMIN_GROUP";

---

Then only admins will get this PM. If you don't want any message to be sent, just comment out line 72:

code:

   $html -> send_message($Sender,$To,$Subject,$mess);

---

It would be nice if this was configurable though.

BTW, if you think one PM is annoying, at my perl 5.4.4 board we get two everytime for some reason. Haven't bothered checking on it though since I've been about to upgrade ever since 6.0 came out...

The other admin on my board has clicked "Grant Moderator Privledges" on several users by mistake when going to Edit the user.
Then everyone get's PMs and says "why is so and so a moderator". He thinks that link needs to be moved FAR away. Maybe with the next version I'll edit it. LOL

His aim with the mouse must be bad.
