Recently I discovered that moderators can make sticky posts in their moderated forums. I had thought it was admin only due to a post over at infopop, so I had wondered how a mod had done it on my board. I didn't like this, so I have tracked down the code to change this. I think it is just this one line, and it is real simple to make sticky posts admin only if you so choose.
In the editpost.php file, find this:
elseif ( ( ( ($user['U_Status'] == "Moderator") && $check) || ($user['U_Status'] == "Administrator") ) && ($Number == $Main) && (!$Sticky) ) {
and REMOVE this part:
( ($user['U_Status'] == "Moderator") && $check) ||
so it looks like this:
elseif ( ( ($user['U_Status'] == "Administrator") ) && ($Number == $Main) && (!$Sticky) ) {
Thats it!

That looked easy enough, thanks for tracking it down. Hopefully it will be possible for the admin to set which things moderators will be able to do in some future version.

I wonder if I should incorporate this into my Restrict Moderators hack.
