I was putting together a post for IIP 5.0, listing all the features and explaining them somewhat and also including some notes regarding some various issues with speed and large sites and such. The one thing I didn't have filled in was the subject. When the page displayed "all fields" message and said hit the back button I didn't think to much of it but after hitting the back button it was only to find the entire post gone... *sigh* lol

Normally the text and whatnot should have been there but it wasnt. I just tried testing this on my test site with the standard templates and the body of the post was there when I hit the back button. I think it may be the templates? I dunno..

Edit Note: This was during a preview, not straight in.

I hate when that happens I usually am careful a few days afterwards and copy my post before submitting, but it catches me again when I am sleeping on the job. I don't think it is template-related, tho I am not sure, as I don't see a pattern... it's there sometimes and sometimes not. What do you think it might be.

Hmmm, after looking over the code and such I can't seem to see anything that would be the cause of it. I'll have to download the .classic templates and compare but your right there should be no reason for it to vanish when hitting the back button.

I had a thought while looking at the addpost.php script. I think accidents such as the one I had could be avoided if instead of displaying the "all fields" it went back to the preview screen and highlighted what was missing or just gave a notice a the top what was wrong. That way your information is carried through and limits the possiblity that it is lost.

I may be able to make a hack for that.
