Mod Name / Version - Forum Avatars v1.0

Description - Adds a page of avatars for users to place in their profile. Includes admin section menus and pages for adding and removing avatars.

Example - http://www.newoutriders.org/ubbtest/index.php Login: test Password: Test

Author - Aglavalin, aka Steve Stout

Files Altered - editbasic.tmpl, admin/menu.php

Database Altered - no

New Files - avatars.php, useavatar.php, admin/addavatar.php, admin/doaddavatar.php, admin/removeavatar.php, admin/doremoveavatar.php

Note: This is written for 6.1 and will not work for 6.0.x

This has been asked for a few times, and it is very common on other boards, so here it is! As automated as you can get with admin menu items to add or remove a avatar. When an avatar is removed, any users who were using it will have their avatar reset to none. Users get to browse through a page of avatars, as many as the admin wants to make available.

Great hack Aglavalin.

I have not browsed the code yet, but my first thought to expand on this idea would be to add a sub to create a break in the pages depending on how many avatars the admin has uploaded (ie - multiple pages, each showing X amount of images).

Yeah, maybe next version I'll do something like that. I've seen this on other boards myself.

You have to make some minor adjustments, to make this one work with 6.2.
I mofified Aglavin's Hack a bit to fit it to my needs. I can post the instructions if he hasn't converted the hack to 6.2, yet.

Is there a way to break up the number of pages this displays your avatars? I have over 1,000 avatars, and it takes forever to load the page.
