Mod Name: Search Engine Hack 0.9
Description:
The first part of this hack replaces the links to postlist and showthreaded with simple ones without querystrings, such that search engines index them.
The second - but independent - part of this hack replaces the HTML-titles in some inportant files with apropriate titles. It also adds meta description and keywords.
Working under: 6.1.1
Any pre-requisites: apache, access to .htaccess, mysql

The proc file. remove the .txt extension

functions.php with MakeSearchEngineFriendly(). Remove .txt extension

I want it! This would be a nice thing for me, as my key words line most of the posts in my forum

I have now installed my test version in the production environment.

And look at the urls to the boards. Same for postlist. This is what googlebot and scooter and many other search engine bots see.

I have described in the file, why I do not show these special urls to all users.

On 5.4.1 the ones who came from googles and the googlebot itself did not produce any location information. But in 6.1.1 it's a bit wired. I have to work on this. The 216.239.46.x IPs are the google bots. Yesterday Scooter (Altavista) visited my page.
