.... I would love if that would be less strict. Usernames are found also if a part string matches, but the email needs to be complete and right to finde the user. I would prefer that also the email-search is less strict.... I am a lazy guy

Yes, that would be good. Not only because of lazyness, sometimes I don't know the complete address, or want to find several users on the same domain or something like that.
Shouldn't be that hard to hack though...

The "Profile Index" portion of IIP allows the searching of emails with wild cards *. This should offer more flexibility in email searches.

Cool, though emails are not the only thing that need to be a bit more flexible... Users, Usernames, Real Names, and the rest are also a bit too strict... in my opinion.

All of those fields can be searched using wild cards including the search for IP addresses. Just place the * where the . is in the IP.
