Hey, do we have a hack anywhere or has one been done before where users are automatically moved up into another group? For instance, I want to limit certain areas of the site to people who have made 500+ posts and it would need to change the user to the new group automatically to help out......So when Herbie User makes his 500th post he is amazed that he sees a new option.... And you could actually give them all different options with each level.... Kinda like the titles change but with groups....

That's a neat idea. I think that the group assignment should be automatic and not optional though.

Thanks Dave, now if I only had yer mind to implement this...hehe And yeah... It would definitely make people wanna post more once they found out about this.....

I wrote the Auto Group Change for someone some time ago, I think it is what you are asking for. Unfortunately it isn't updated for 6.2 yet since I don't have it yet, but if someone could just update it to use Usernumber it should work fine.

Hint: Start by looking in the Beta Index post, that's what I did. Searched for the "word" Group in that post gave me the link rather quickly.

The post should contain all hacks that are in the forum, so it's a good place to start.
